Pillow soft foam and Denim topper insures the athletes safety when training and competing Uneven Bar releases. Horizontal handles on the 5’ edges for easy control while sliding in for athletes and side drag handles available for assistants removing the mat during competition.
Note: The Mancino Bar Release Mat is a supplemental mat – meaning it is to only be used when in conjunction with a competition landing mat or additional skill cushion.
New ruling from USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic and Technical Committees Joint Meeting, Article 9: An alternate skill cushion made of softer foam is allowed at invitationals and is REQUIRED at State Meets and above. The mat must be a minimum of 4 ft. x 6 ft. and eight (8) inches. It may be used for bar releases ONLY (to be placed under the gymnast during the release and immediately removed). It is NOT allowed for dismounts or landings on any event.
