What is your most innovative use for a Mancino Euro-Style Mount Block?
1) Winner! Melanie C from Apex Gymnastics, Leesburg, VA
We use these mount blocks for numerous things… we use them to roll balls down for our special needs students to bowl. We put them on scooters for special needs students to have a bigger base to ride on. We use them with the small ends together for oversplits & body shaping. Finally, we use them upside down for special needs students to rock back and forth on if they are not as mobile so that they can get some movement stimulation without actually having to be very mobile.
2) Trisha B. from Aerials East Gymnastics, Colorado Springs, CO
Back hand spring up the mount mat. This is a fabulous drill for back hand springs for beam, lifting the hips up through full extension and working on blocking off. Start on the floor with heels against the shorter side, back hand spring up the mount mat with hands landing on taller side, feet land on floor or soft 8″ mat behind it.

4) Mary D. from Aerials Flip Factory, Hayden, ID
I use the mount block for all kinds of things, but one of my favorites is for working over splits with the back leg up the block! It really helps with the hip flexor stretch.
5) Amy P. from JCC of Dallas, Dallas, TX
Put two together with the short ends touching. Do hyper splits with one leg on each mat, or hollow holds with shoulders on one mat and legs on the other
6) Jim L. from , Dallas, TX
I have girls kneel on it drop off to their hands on the floor and do cast handstands.. Also I put a floor bar down to do cast handstand Half perp
7) Rebecca F. from Shooting Starz Gymnastics, Wilkes-Barre, PA
We use the Mancino Euro-Style Mount Block for body shaping. We stand it up and let the girls lay over it to get the feel for a good hollow position. It works best with our little ones. It also works great to balance in a hollow position.
